Where are your products made?
Little James clothing and accessories are designed in Nashville, TN. Our manufacturing is split up in three locations – Los Angeles, China and India. We ensure our factories operate under ethical standards.
Do you only sell your goods online?
We sell Little James online and in our flagship retail boutique in Nashville, TN.
What fabrics do you use?
Over 50% of our clothing is 100% Organic Cotton. Other fabrics we love are linen blends, bamboo and tencel. All materials are made to withstand the active day of your little one, lasting from wash to wash. If your child has sensitivities, we suggest purchasing our organic items only.
Are items tagged or tagless?
All of our items include a main label and care label. Please refer to each care label for washing instructions. If for any reason these are irritating to your child’s skin, they can easily be removed.

How do I care for my Little James clothing?
We suggest washing garments with cold water. Wash with like colors and hang dry, when possible. Some of our products are garment dyed, which gives each product a unique look. We recommend that these articles are hand-washed separately in cold water with liquid detergent. Do not rub dark dyed materials against light surfaces. We do not suggest stain remover on garment dyed items as it will remove dye. We highly recommend separating reds from all colors when washing. We cannot be responsible for miscare of items. (i.e., reds dying your white clothing pink!).
Can I dry clean items?
Of course! In fact, with some of our dresses, we suggest it.
Can I machine wash and dry my items?
Yes! Drying is frowned upon, as it may shorten the longevity of the clothing, but it is not against the rules.
Any specific information regarding your organic items?
All natural fibers have a tendency to pill over time. Please be aware that this is standard for natural fiber over time. These items are chemical-free with zero additives. If your child has sensitivities, we suggest purchasing our organic items only.
Will my items shrink?
Little James strives to account for all shrinkage during development. However, if drying our goods, please allow up to 10% shrinkage.
size + fit
How do your clothes fit?
Our sizing is paired to help clothing last. If your child is on the younger side of an age grouping, items will be oversized.
My child is in between sizes, should I size up or down?
We suggest sizing up, however, you can refer to our size chart for exact measurements.
Will you restock out-of-stock items?
We like to change things up at Little James. If an item sells out, it’s likely that the item will return in a new color or print. Depending on popularity, items may or may not return. Get them while you can!
What if I pre-order an item?
We will notify you of your purchase and when you should expect to see it on your doorstep. Please refer to our pre-order section.
From time to time, Little James offers pre-orders on up-and-coming collections, new colors and re-stock items. Pre-orders at LJ are a convenient way to secure the unlaunched items before they sell out.
All pre-order items will be charged at checkout upon purchase. All purchases including a pre-order item will ship when pre-order items are made available. Shipment estimates are given on pre-order product pages for the expected arrival of each pre-order product.
Orders that include pre-order items will only be dispatched once all items, including the pre-order items, are received in stock. If you would like to receive specific items from your order immediately, please place separate orders for in-stock and pre-order items to ensure that your items arrive when expected.

online return policy
We will do what we can to ensure that you are satisfied with every purchase. Please do not hesitate to reach out to firstname.lastname@example.org at any time if you are unhappy with your order. Unfortunately, sale items or items purchased with a coupon and / or discount code cannot be refunded. All sale items are final. One discount code can be used per customer per order. Orders placed online can only be returned or exchanged online.

For returns, please use our online Returns Center. All returns must be sent in the same packaging and condition to the address above within 14 days of the date you received the item.
We ask that you add a note in your package stating your name, order number and that you'd like to return the item. Please allow 2-3 business days for processing after the package has been delivered back to us. There will be a 5% restocking fee for the return. The refund will go back onto the card that was used to place the order.
We cannot take responsibility for items returned without notification and/or items that are returned with a shipping alternative where you cannot trace the package.
For exchanges, please use our online Returns Center. All exchanges must be sent in the same condition received to the address above within 14 days of the date you received. Tags must be attached and garments unworn.
We ask that you add a note in your package stating your name, order number, why you would like to exchange your item and the new item information (i.e., style #, color and size). Please allow 2-3 business days for processing after the package has been delivered back to us. There will be a 5% restocking fee applied to the returned or exchanged item. When requesting an exchange for a different item than what is being returned, a shipping charge will be applied to your exchange for shipment of the new item.
We value every purchase, and we do our best to honor all shipping requests to ensure you receive your items as quickly as possible. To guarantee that an item reaches you when expected, please read the shipping policy below for online orders.
business shipping hours:
Monday – Friday, 9AM – 3PM CST, excluding national holidays
FedEx and USPS Priority items ordered after daily shipping hours will be processed the next business day. Items ordered on Friday after 3PM CST, as well as items ordered Saturday and Sunday, will be processed the following Monday. We primarily ship through USPS and FedEx.
Please Note: We will not be able to refund the shipping cost as it is directly paid to our providers.
expedited shipping policy
Items purchased with expedited shipping need to be placed before 3PM CST in order to be processed and shipped out the same day. Orders placed after 3PM CST will be processed and shipped the following business day.
If customs charges occur please note that you, the buyer, are 100% responsible for the fees. We, the seller, are not responsible for customs charges. Please note that international orders can take up to 4 weeks to arrive after they are shipped since all orders must pass through customs and the time frame that this takes is completely out of our hands.
For international orders, if your package is unclaimed and returned back to us, we may refund the amount of the products, but the shipping cost will not be refunded. We do not provide a return shipping label within our packaging as return international shipments are the customer’s responsibility.
Little James is not responsible for any additional shipping costs for returns and exchanges, and we do not assume responsibility for reimbursement of compensation of returned packages lost in transit without proof of delivery to Little James.
U.S. shipments sent outside of the state of Tennessee will pay no sales tax. Tennessee shipments pay 9.25% sales tax at the time of checkout. Users are responsible for all sales taxes and other taxes on merchandise shipped to other states.
